Instruction to the authors

Oilseed Crops


ROŚLINY OLEISTE – OILSEED CROPS is an annual journal promoting
a wide range of investigations on oil crops and their derivative products, addressed to both scientists and practitioners.

ROŚLINY OLEISTE — OILSEED CROPS publishes:

  • scientific papers describing the results of accomplished original researches and developmental works;
  • scientific and technological reviews on research progress in particular area, implementations, on economic oil crop situation, on opinions and discussions concerning research in oil crops;
  • preliminary short notes about important results obtained in conducted investigations;
  • information from international conferences.

Papers are published in Polish or in English.


Detailed instruction

  • The manuscript should include:

- forename and name of author (authors) the institution where the author is affiliated,

- a concise title in Polish and in English describing briefly the content of the paper,

- key words in Polish and in English,

- abstracts in Polish and English,

- text including: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, as well as conclusions, references.

  • Key words: up to seven, should give complementary information to this contained in the title.
  • The abstracts:

- up to 250 words, should contain the same information in both Polish and English, and provide information on the aim of investigations, used materials and methods, obtained results, their discussion and conclusions. Abstract should allow the people not familiar with language of paper to understand presented information.

- short abstract up to 100 words in language of the paper.

  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively throughout the paper. The captions, texts of explanations for the tables and diagrams should be written in English and in Polish. Generally accepted Latin words written in italics do not require Polish and English translations. Diagrams and photographs should be referred to as “Figure”.
  • Abbreviations should be explained when they first appear in the text. Otherwise, only SI units and abbreviations should be used.
  • Lists of references should include only items cited in the text and be arranged alphabetically by the name of first author, according to the examples below:

General instructions

  • The authors are responsible for the content and information included in the paper.
  • All publications are reviewed.
  • The manuscripts should be corrected by authors. The editors reserve the right to introduce linguistic corrections.
  • Submission of the manuscript implies: that the work described is original; that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The manuscript should be accompanied by a letter stating that it has not been published in a reviewed scientific journal before. The first author should declare that the publication has been approved by all co-authors (according the example).
  • The manuscript should be submitted to the Editor in one copy printed one sided,
    A4 format and on a floppy disc or by e-mail addressed to: mogrod@nico.ihar.poznan.pl
