Objectives:

  • aphid monitoring in seed potato crops,
  • epidemiology of potato viruses, forecasting the incidence of potato viruses, control of viruses transmission in the field, timing of aphid control and haulm desiccation,
  • studies on influence of plant-virus-environment interaction with regard to epidemiology and control,
  • improvement of seed potato production system, characterization of suitability of different cultivars for definite technology,
  • improvement of methods used for health inspection and qualification of seed potatoes.
